There is no doubt that this victory has come from the unity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the collective leadership of the state. List of leaders name in Rajasthan Chief Minister Race:
70-year-old Vasundhara Raje is a former Chief Minister and has led the BJP to two huge victories. Daughter of BJP’s founding leader Vijayaraje Scindia. She was elected MLA from Dholpur after holding various posts in the party. In 2003, when the party came to power, she became the first woman Chief Minister of the state. She has been elected to the Legislative Assembly three times and to the Lok Sabha five times. She was a minister in the Vajpayee government.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat:
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat played an important role in the election campaign. Sanjeevani had turned against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the Credit Cooperative Society scam. In the 2019 general elections, he demonstrated his political prowess by defeating Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot. Shekhawat is the third best choice for the chief minister post after Vasundhara Raje and Baba Balakanath.
Rajasthan BJP unit chief C.P. Joshi is a strong aspirant for the post of chief minister. The 48-year-old, who was given charge last March, was instrumental in fending off factionalism and contesting the Congress. He is credited with bringing the factions together. Therefore, he is also in the chief ministerial race.
BJP’s landslide victory in Rajasthan could lead to the rise of another ‘Yogi’. Spiritual leader and Alwar MP Baba Balakanath is known as Yogi of Rajasthan. He is also a contender for the post of chief minister. The 40-year-old is known for his controversial statements.
Kirodi Lal Meena:
Senior leader Kirodi Lal Meena was dragged into the election to win the Meena community. He has worked hard for the party’s victory in East Rajasthan. The 72-year-old, popularly known as ‘Doctor Saheb’ and ‘Baba’, is one of the frontrunners for the chief ministerial post.
