Big surgery in Karnataka BJP: Ticket final for new candidates, tension for sitting MLAs

Bengaluru: (Karnataka MLA Election 2023) Karnataka assembly election is coming in just six months and all the parties have started training for their victory. Big surgery in Karnataka BJP: Ticket final for new candidates, tension for sitting MLAs.

On the one hand, the Congress along with Rahul Gandhi went on a Bharat Jodo Yatra, on the other hand, the JD(S) came on the back of the conventions. Mallikarjuna Kharge from Karnataka has been elected as the National President of the Congress, so this is a prelude to a new debate in the state politics.

It is true that BJP’s calculations have been turned upside down as the Congress has selected Dalit leaders from Karnataka for its top posts and this move is a big challenge for the BJP. To avoid this blow, BJP leaders at the center started the process of secretly finalizing the ticket six months before the election.

The BJP high command suddenly takes a decision that shocks the state leaders without giving any hint to anyone and conducts the entire election as per their wish. After the arrival of Modi-Amit Shah duo at the centre, most of the factional politics have been put on hold and decisions are being taken as if it was the way the elephant had walked. That’s why people in Karnataka are also voting for the central leaders, no matter how much they are upset with the state BJP leaders.

Now the BJP high command is preparing its strategy for the next assembly elections and is almost ready to announce new candidates for 80 to 100 constituencies like the Uttar Pradesh model. It seems that recently a secret team from the center arrived in Bangalore and searched for new candidates and gave a report about ticket finalization for most of them.

Fear start to sitting MLAs now:

It seems that the central team has given a report not to give tickets to sitting MLAs who are already not working properly in the constituency and are facing opposition from activists. The BJP, which is already struggling to repair the damage caused to the party by Praveen Nettaru’s murder case, has decided to fine the inactive MLAs who have won 150 seats in this election.

A team of the center visited Karnataka last week and prepared a report to inform the center about several new candidates. The list of candidates for 100 assembly constituencies has already been prepared and the only thing left is for the High Command to give a green signal.

First list in first week of November:

The high command, which plans to prepare candidates for field work six months before the elections, is likely to finalize the first list of candidates at the party’s internal level in the first week of November. In every election, BJP has developed a practice of preparing a list of candidates at four stages such as RSS, Sangh Parivar, BJP leaders and secret polls and bringing it to the party’s internal forum for discussion and finalizing the ticket to the one whose name is final in at least three lists.

Accordingly, the first list of candidates is likely to be released in the first week of November and after that the ticket fight will take place in the state. In any case, the discussion is now being heard loudly within the party that BJP is sure to field surprise candidates in the state this time.
