Today’s weather report of the country is as follows. Over the past few days, extreme weather conditions have been happening in the north-west Himalayan region. Due to this, it is raining continuously in the plains of India.

Although there was a decrease in its activity on Monday, once again major changes in the weather are seen in the region. Due to this there is a possibility of rain and snowfall. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy snowfall with heavy thundershowers and rain is expected again in the next 48 hours in the North Indian states.

According to the India Meteorological Department, between March 6 and 7, rain is likely over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather in Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim will deteriorate between March 7 and 9. Thus, rain may occur in these three states as well.

According to IMD, the effect of Western Disturbance will be felt over Arunachal Pradesh in the next one week. This may result in light to moderate rains and snowfall at various places. According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with scattered snowfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

Light rain at 1 or 2 places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Kerala and Odisha. Rain and snowfall activities are expected to increase again in the Western Himalayan region from March 6 and may continue till March 7.
