We are seeing new circulation and low pressure areas in many parts of the country, so, the monsoon is unlikely to stop at this stage. This time the end of the rainy season will be delayed. Monsoon enters India in early June, covering the entire nation by early July.

Monsoon rains will begin to recede gradually over North Indian states by September 17. Monsoon is declared over when several criteria are considered including decrease in humidity. Monsoon has started weak this year. Rainfall in June is 9% less than the average. It recovered impressively in July. It recorded 13 percent rainfall above the average. On the other hand, August recorded 36 percent less rainfall than the average.

Dakshina Kannada: 49.5 mm

Mysuru: 47 mm

Vijayapura: 41 mm

Chamarajanagar: 40.5 mm

Kodagu: 34.5 mm

Udupi: 34.5 mm

Chikmagaluru: 30 mm

Mandya: 28 mm

Bengaluru City: 26.5 mm

Kolar: 26.5 mm

Hassan: 25 mm

Yadagiri: 25 mm.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar will experience widespread rain and thundershowers. Widespread rain and thundershowers are likely over Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Ganga-West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
