Ration Card will cancel if not do this before November

Ration card is one of the most important documents not only for getting ration in fair price shop. Now the rules keep changing as the day dawns. Also, e-KYC for ration card has been made mandatory. Ration Card will cancel if not do this before November.

It is learned that the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has directed all members who have not registered or re-registered their identity as ration card holders to visit their nearest fair price shops and submit their fingerprints and get e-KYC done by November 30.

Action has been taken not to issue ration in December to beneficiaries who have not done e-KYC. Therefore, every ration card member who has not done e-KYC should visit the fair price shops, give their fingerprints and get their name re-registered, the announcement said.

Documents are required to do e-KYC:

Original copy of ration card

Aadhaar card photocopy of family members

Aadhaar card copy of family master

Photocopy of Bank Pass Book

Two passport size photographs of family head.

How to do Ration Card KYC:

1. By visiting the ration shop:

Go to your nearest ration shop. Give the photocopy of Aadhaar card of all your family members to the ration distributor. Issuer will do KYC of your family members. You will get a confirmation slip.

2. through online medium:

Visit your state’s Food and Supplies Department website. Select the option related to Ration Card. Fill the required information and link it to Aadhaar card.

How to check the status of ration card KYC:

Contact the ration shop: You can visit your local ration shop and ask for the KYC status of your ration card.

Through message: SMS service may be available in some states. You can get information by sending an SMS from your mobile to a certain number.

Online Portal: If an online portal is available in your state, you can also check your KYC status by logging in to it.

Ration card holders are requested to get KYC done as soon as possible. This will save you from any kind of trouble in the future.
