Railway Mega Block: Mumbai native prepare companies will probably be affected on Sunday because the railway division will perform Mumbai mega block for infrastructure maintenance and security functions. Indian Railway Mega Block: these routes to be affected tomorrow.

“These maintenance Railway Mega block / Jumbo blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused,” the Central Railways said in a statement on Saturday. Every now and then, the railways carry out mega blocks for operational and maintenance related works.

Railway Mega Block: Check affected routes, timings

CENTRAL LINE

Thane – Railway Mega Block Kalyan Up and Dn Fast Lines (10.40 am – 3.40 pm)- Dn fast services leaving CSMT Mumbai from 9.30 am to 2.45 pm will be diverted o¬n Dn slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations halting at Kalva, Mumbra and Diva stations in addition to their schedule halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast / semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.28 am to 3.25 pm will be diverted o¬n Up slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations halting at Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations in addition to their schedule halts, further re-diverted o¬n Up fast line at Mulund and will arrive destination 10 minutes late.

HARBOUR LINE

Kurla – Indian Railway Mega Block Vashi Up and Dn Harbour Lines (11.10 am – 4.10 pm) – Dn Harbour line services to Panvel /Belapur/Vashi leaving CSMT Mumbai from 10.34 am to 3.36 pm and Up Harbour line services towards CSMT Mumbai leaving Vashi/Belapur/Panvel from 10.16 am to 3.47 pm will remain cancelled. However, special services will run between CSMT – Kurla and Vashi – Panvel stations during the block period.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Trans-Harbour Line (Thane-Vashi/Nerul) from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period

WESTERN LINE

As per the announcement, the block will be carried out in the Western Line during the night. Vasai Road – Vaitarna Stations Up and Down Fast (23.50 Hrs – 04.30 Hrs)

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of three hours will be taken o¬n UP Fast lines from 23.50 hrs to 02.50 hrs and DOWN Fast lines from 01.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday (October 8-October 9).

During the block period Train No. 09101 Virar – Bharuch MEMU will be delayed by 15 minutes and hence will depart from Virar at 04:50 hrs instead of its scheduled departure at 04:35 hrs.

There will be no block during the day time over Western Railway Suburban section o¬n Sunday (October 9).
