On the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), the gold futures climbed 0.38 per cent to Rs 50,813 for 10 grams at 0950 hours on June 27. Silver price also saw a huge rise on Monday. The precious metal future soared 0.74 per cent to Rs 60,190 for a kilogram on June 27.

Gold price jump today the price of 22 carat of gold rose by Rs 200 to Rs 47,650 per 10 grams as against its previous close of Rs 47,450. Meanwhile the price of 24 carat of gold was also trading higher by Rs 230. The price of 24 carat of gold stood at Rs 51,990 as against its previous close of Rs 51,760.

In the international market, gold price surged as some western countries plan to ban imports of the safe-haven metal from Russia. The European Union along with the United States and the United States have introduced a series of sanctions on Russia in the last few months, over its invasion of Ukraine.

Now, four of the Group of Seven (G7) rich nations moved to ban imports of Russian gold on Sunday to weaken Moscow and its economy. This move may impact the supplies of bullion, if implemented. Spot gold was up 0.2 per cent at $1,828.99 per ounce by 0102 GMT. US gold futures were flat at $1,830.90. Spot silver rose 0.2 per cent to $21.15 per ounce.

In rupee terms gold has support at Rs 50,440–50,110, while resistance is at Rs 50,980–51,240. Silver price has support at Rs 59,280–58,710, while resistance is at Rs 60,480–60,910.

Gold price in the national capital on Friday declined by Rs 70 to Rs 50,557 per 10 grams. In the previous trade, the precious metal settled at Rs 50,627 per 10 grams. Silver prices also declined by Rs 621 to Rs 59,077 per kg from Rs 59,698 per kg in the previous trade.
