Before the start of every new month, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the bank holiday list. Accordingly, RBI has released the holiday list for the month of November. According to that, there is a holiday for banks for a total of 15 days in the month of November.

In the month of November there are festivals like Kannada Rajyotsava, Deepavali etc. Hence banks have more holidays in this month also. Holidays are given according to respective regional celebrations and festivals. However, only public and gazette holidays are applicable to all banks across the country.

Now all Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays are holidays for all banks across the country. There is no problem for online transactions during holidays. However, it is better to check the holiday list instead of visiting the bank. Bank holidays are divided into three categories by RBI. Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays and Accounts Closing Holidays.

The holidays in the RBI holiday list will be applicable to public sector, private sector, foreign banks, co-operative banks and regional banks. If you have to visit the bank in the month of November, it is better to check the holiday list. If there is work related to home loan or if you have to visit the bank for any other loan work without vehicle, take care of vacations.

November 13: Govardhan Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Diwali (bank holiday in Agartala, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jaipur, Kanpur and Lucknow)

November 14: Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year, Lakshmi Puja (holiday in Ahmedabad, Belpur, Bengaluru, Gangtok, Mumbai and Nagpur)

November 15: Bhai Dooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Lakshmi Pooja, Ningal Chikuba, Bharati Diti (Gangtuk, Imphal, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Shimla)

November 19: Sunday

November 20: Chhat (Bank holiday in Patna and Ranchi)

November 23: Seng Kut Snem/Egas Bagwal (Bank Holiday in Dehradun and Shillong)

November 25: Fourth Saturday

November 26: Sunday

November 27: Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima (bank holiday in all other parts of the country except Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kochi, Panaji, Patna, Trivandrum and Shillong)

November 30: Kanakadasa Jayanti (Bank Holiday in Bengaluru).
