Yashasvini Health Protection Scheme: Extension of registration period till March 31

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government has issued an order to revise and re-implement the Yashasvini Health Protection Scheme, and at the same time, the date has been extended and the order has been issued. The period for registration of new members of Yashasvini Health Protection Scheme (Yashasvini Arogya Suraksha Yojana) has been extended till March 31.

On the request of many cooperatives, MLAs and Legislative Council members, the state government had earlier extended the opportunity to register new members till February 28. After this, it has been extended till March 31, the Cooperation Department said in the order. For the current line, the target is to register 30 lakh members. Therefore, the department said that this period has been extended by one month.

Under this scheme, a family will get Rs 5 lakh in Yashasvini network hospitals. Cashless treatment can be availed at a cost of up to the state government has allocated Rs 300 crore for this in the current budget. Grants have been fixed.

Rural co-operative societies, self help groups shall pay an annual contribution of Rs.500/- per family of maximum four members and Rs.100/- for each additional member. A contribution of Rs.1,000/- per family of maximum four members of urban co-operative societies and Rs.200/- for each additional member. The annual membership fee of the members of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes is borne by the government by providing subsidy under special unit scheme and Tribe Sub-scheme.
