Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) may be interested in buying Rilee Rossouw in the IPL 2023 auction as a possible backup to Glenn Maxwell, feels former cricketer Akash Chopra.

CSK is unlikely to buy them: While many teams may need a left-handed top-order batsman, Chennai Super Kings are unlikely to pick Rilee Rossouw, feels Akash Chopra.

He said RCB is the front-runner among the franchises that could bid for Chopra. ‘Thinking from RCB’s point of view, can he be Maxwell’s backup? Even Faf du Plessis does not play cricket regularly. At some point, there needs to be a change. Rilee Rossouw would be a good choice for him. Other franchisees may also be keen to buy him.
