PM Modi to address the nation through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at 11 am today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the nation through his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at 11 am today.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had asked people to share ideas for the 68th edition of his monthly radio programme.In his previous address, which also coincided with the 21st anniversary of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’, PM Modi had hit out at Pakistan, saying that it tried to backstab in response to India’s friendly endeavours.

PM Modi had also urged youth to share stories of armed forces’ valour in Kargil war with others.Speaking on the coronavirus crisis, PM Modi had said that the country needs to keep fighting the global pandemic together, adding that focus on wearing masks and social distancing should continue.

The Prime Minister further asked people to think of “COVID warriors and their exemplary efforts” when they feel tired of wearing a mask.In today’s episode, PM Modi is likely to focus on the relaxations being given from September 1 under Unlock 4.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday issued the Unlock 4 guidelines under which metro trains will be allowed to resume services from September 7 in a phased manner, while political, social and religious congregations of up to 100 people will be permitted from September 21.

However, schools, colleges and other educational and coaching institutions will remain closed for students till September 30, with some relaxations for students of classes 9 to 12.

India has been under lockdown since March 25 as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.
