Maharashtra Covid Blast: Reports 67,160 new cases and 676 deaths in 24 hours

Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 67,160 new COVID-19 cases including 63,818 discharges and 676 deaths in a day. Active cases 6,94,480, Death toll 63928, Total cases 42,28,836 and Total recoveries 34,68,610.

Earlier, the first Oxygen Express train from Vishakhapatnam had reached Nagpur and Nashik in Maharashtra carrying the life-saver to the Covid-ravaged state, officials said on Saturday.
While three tankers carrying Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) were unloaded at Nagpur on Friday night, four more were unloaded in Nashik on Saturday morning, said an official.

Oxygen Express is part of the Indian Railways’ initiative to transport oxygen across the country, under which empty tankers will be loaded with LMO from Visakhapatnam, Jamshedpur, Rourkela and Bokaro.
