Former CM Siddaramaiah said that the Congress party has already announced the first list of candidates for 124 constituencies for the Karnataka Assembly elections, and now the second list of Congress candidates will be released in 2-3 days. Speaking to reporters, he said that in 2-3 days we will release the Congress candidate second list. We will hold a meeting to finalize the ticket. He said that after the meeting, the Karnataka Election 2023 2nd list of Congress candidates will be released.
Commenting on the issue of increase in reservation, Siddaramaiah said that the increase in reservation is becoming a turning point for the BJP. Reservations have been increased without recognition in the constitution. He said that the increase in reservation in the state is unscientific.
The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Karnataka Election 2023 on Wednesday. The elections in the southern state will be held in a single phase on May 10. The counting of votes will be done on May 13

Last date for filing nomination – April 20, 2023
Scrutiny of nomination – April 21, 2023
Last date for withdrawal of nomination – April 24, 2023
Date of polling – May 10, 2023
Date of Counting (Result) – May 13, 2023
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar said the notification for the elections will be issued on April 13 and the last date for filing nomination papers will be April 20.
