Karnataka Election 2023: Big hunt by Election Commission; Rs.69.36 crore rupees seized across the state

Bengaluru: In the wake of the implementation of Karnataka Assembly Election Code of Conduct, the Election Commission has carried out a massive operation and collected a total of Rs 69.36 crore including cash, liquor, gifts and drugs across the state and valuable materials were seized. On Wednesday, the Election Vigilants seized a huge amount of liquor and other goods being illegally transported in various parts of the state, and so far Rs.22.75 crores have been seized, Rs.69.36 crore including cash and valuable materials were seized.

2 crores were seized in a private bus in Belgaum. Rs.56 lakhs seized in Tumkur rural constituency. Rs.32 lakhs seized in Davangere Assembly constituency. Rs.1.72 crore seized in Humanabad constituency. Rs.21 lakhs and Gold worth Rs.19 lakhs were seized in Khanapur constituency.

20 kilos worth silver, 60.47 lakh rupees which was being transported from Mahalingapura to Belgaum without documents and valuable gold jewellery has confiscated.The Election Commission informed has informed.
