“It is my privilege to present my second budget as the Chief Minister of the state today. On this occasion, I visited Srikantheshwara Temple and Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Bangalore and offered special pooja in the name of all the people of Karnataka,” Bommai said on Twitter.

The Finance department officials on Friday morning handed over the budget copy for the year 2023-24 to CM Bommai, who will present his second and the government’s last budget at 10:15am today.

The state government is giving priority to Bengaluru’s problems, Karnataka CM Bommai said a day before his second budget presentation. Bommai holds both the Bengaluru city in-charge and the finance portfolios, and is expected to push for infrastructure projects in the state capital, along with relief measures to combat the city’s traffic issues and flood-related problems.

The Chief Minister has also said that the government will come out with an “action taken report” during the budget, regarding the fulfilment of the promises made by the ruling BJP, ahead of the 2018 assembly polls.

Karnataka legislative elections are scheduled to be held in Karnataka this year to elect all 224 members of the assembly. 2018 Karnataka legislative assembly elections was held on 12 May 2018. B.S Yediyurappa led BJP government had won 104 seats with the share up by 64 seats.
