Haladi Srinivas Shetty announced Retirement, Kiran Kodgi Kundapura BJP candidate

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections on Wednesday. The elections in the southern state will be held in a single phase on May 10. Since 1999, he has been the unbeaten leader till date. Haladi Srinivas Shetty has continuously won the Kundapur Assembly Constituency regardless of party organization and caste. Halladi’s margin of victory is getting bigger year by year. The margin of 2,500 votes earlier has now increased to 50,000. People believe that the person is more important than the party.

In 2018, Haladi got 1,03,434 votes while Congress’s Rakesh Malli got 40,029 votes. In 2013, when contested as an independent, Srinivasa Shetty got 80,563 votes to Congress’s Malayadi Shivaram Shetty’s 39,952 votes. In 2008, Haladi who contested from BJP got 71,695 votes while Jayaprakash Hegde of Congress got 46,612 votes.
