Meeting was held in the wake of increasing H3N2 infection in the country. No one should panic about H3N2 infection. All healthcare workers must wear masks. Health workers must wear masks from today. 26 cases of H3N2 have been detected in the state. Health Minister K Sudhakar said that children and pregnant women should take precautionary measures. H3N2 Virus In India:

Chronic cough and fever may be caused by the H3N2 virus. Such cases are increasing day by day. The Indian Council of Medical Research has warned against using antibiotic pills after testing if such symptoms occur. A lingering cough accompanied by occasional fever has been spreading throughout India for the past few months.

The widely circulating flu, which is caused by the H3N2 subtype of Influenza A, results in more hospitalisations than other subtypes. Owing to the rapid spread of the flu, the sales of various medications, such as bronchial cough syrups, anti-allergy medicines, and paracetamol tablets, have gone up by more than 25% in cities like Delhi.
