While inaugurating the program of the District Collector’s visit to the village on behalf of the district administration in Kaladagi village of the district, Revenue Minister Ashoka said that the central and state governments have implemented many pro-people schemes. One thousand rupees directly to the account of one female head of each family with the intention of giving more priority to women.

He said that a plan has been made and will be implemented soon. Government has implemented several useful schemes. In order to build a communication bridge between officials and people, the district commissioners go to the village and listen to the problems of the people there and settle them on the spot.

This prevents the disabled, orphans, elderly, helpless and innocent people from going to government offices and wasting money and time. He said that every officer is going to the village and working to solve the problems there. He also said that government amenities have been distributed to 4.74 lakh families in the state so far under the District Collector’s village program.

A change has been brought in the Land Acquisition Act with the aim of giving rights to farmers who convert government land. One time revenue documents have been provided free of charge to benefit the farmers. Encouragement should be given to farmers and those who adopt scientific methods. He said that 79A and 79B have been removed from that direction.

From the past till today, the Tandas were in a state of instability, being revenue villages without a name. 51,000 families have been distributed right on the spot by amending the Act to identify such issues. There is a similar incident in Davangere district too, where action is being taken to distribute the right. He hoped that this program was organized with the intention that such an innovative project should continue continuously no matter the government comes or goes.
