The state government has officially issued an order sanctioning an interim compensation of 17% of the basic salary to the state government employees with effect from April 1. Good news for state government employees: Government order to increase basic pay by 17%.
In this regard, Government of the Department of Finance Under Secretary has issued an order. The Government is pleased to grant an interim compensation of 17% of the basic pay with effect from 1st April 2023 to the state government employees drawing pay in the revised pay scales of 2018.
Basic pay for the purpose of interim compensation is the pay received by the government employees in the pay scale applicable to the post held.

5.11 lakh employees have gone on indefinite strike by absenting themselves from duty. School-college, waste disposal, revenue and health services are likely to be suspended. Village panchayat staff, urban local bodies, permanent civic workers of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
Deputy registrar’s office staff will also join the strike. Due to this, officers and staff from Village Accountant to Additional Collector are absent from work and almost all services will be interrupted.
