Four arrested in moodbidire for prostitution involving minor girls

Mangalore, : Police in Moodbidire, Dakshina Kannada district, have busted a prostitution racket involving underage girls and arrested four accused. The arrested include auto driver Mahesh, residents Srikant, Yajnesh, and Dileep. Two minor girls were rescued by the police during the operation.

The incident took place in Niddodi village, Moodbidire taluk. Auto driver Mahesh reportedly lured two minor college girls and brought them to the location. The accused had also called their friends to the house. Acting on credible intelligence, Moodbidire police conducted a raid, rescued the minors, and detained the four suspects.

A POCSO case has been registered at Moodbidire Police Station, and further investigation is underway to uncover the extent of the racket and identify any additional accomplices.

This operation highlights the vigilance of local law enforcement in addressing crimes involving minors and the ongoing efforts to curb illegal prostitution networks in the region.
