Fire accident at Nanjappa Circle Family Super Mart: 4 crore loss in a single night

A fire incident occurred at Family Supermarket in Shantaram Complex near Nanjappa Circle, Richmond Town. The fire accident is suspected to have occurred due to short circuit and the exact cause of the incident is not known. A major disaster was avoided as the incident happened at night. Some items in the shop caught fire. Firefighters reached the spot and extinguished the fire. This shopping mart was owned by one named Anwar. The fire broke out at one end of the complex around 1:30 pm. Locals immediately informed the fire brigade personnel. Due to the overstocking of woodwork, books, the fire spread and the entire supermarket was engulfed in flames. 4 crore was lost in a single night and tens of employees lost their lives. This shopping mart was owned by one named Anwar. The fire broke out at one end of the complex around 1:30 pm. Locals immediately informed the fire brigade personnel. At the beginning of the incident, a fire brigade vehicle reached the spot. Later, an additional fire engine was called after finding the source of the fire. By the time the rest of the vehicles reached the spot, the entire complex was engulfed in flames.

4 lakhs in cash, 3 crores worth of goods and furniture worth 1 crores in the shopping mart were completely burnt. The work of extinguishing the fire was done till morning by 9 fire engines.
