Bengaluru Chennai Expressway: Now Travel Bengaluru to Chennai in just 2 hours

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who has visited Karnataka, has conducted an aerial survey of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway. Speaking later, he said that 36% of the work has already been completed. Bengaluru Chennai Expressway: Now Travel Bengaluru to Chennai in just 2hour 15minutes.

Now it takes 5 hours to reach Chennai from Bengaluru. However, you can go from Bengaluru to Chennai in 2 hours and 15 minutes from this new Expressway. We are aiming to complete the expressway work by January 24. He said that after getting some permission from the forest department, the work will speed up.

3 packages of Karnataka have been checked. This is the first phase of the project. At this stage, the total distance in Karnataka is 71 km. The highway will be constructed in 5,100 crores. Nitin Gadkari informed that this is the plan. We are constructing this 262 km long 8 lane highway worth Rs16,730 crore. It is designed for a speed of 120 kmph.

This will reduce the distance between Bengaluru and Chennai from 300 km to 262 km. The 262-km-long Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway is one of the 26 new green motorways of the National Highways Authority of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for its construction in May 2022.

After being constructed at a cost of more than 14,870 crores, this expressway will pass through Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. We are going to make Amrit Sarovar. Village water should be in the village, city water should be in the city. The flowing water should be stopped, the stagnant water should be allowed to sink to the ground.

Accordingly we have a plan to build Amrit Sarovar in major cities of Karnataka. Nitin Gadkari has informed that there is a plan to build an underpass in the forest area rather than constructing a flyover in the forest area. We are going to do a satellite ring road project to reduce Bangalore traffic. There will be a 288 km ring road, which will reduce a lot of traffic jams.

This ring road will connect the outlying towns of Bangalore city. It will be connected to Tamil Nadu through Hoskote, Doddaballapura, Devanahalli, Anekal. Any flyover is being discussed to make it double decker. Because, after 10 years it is not possible to acquire the land again. So it is good to do double decker. However, the state government should find a solution to the traffic problem in Bangalore.
