Karnataka records 94.1% pass in SSLC ; 7 students score perfect 625

 

Bengaluru : Karnataka has scripted a new academic milestone with an impressive 94.1% pass percentage in the 2025–26 SSLC examinations. According to official data released in Bengaluru, as many as 7,24,794 students cleared the परीक्षा out of 7,70,209 who appeared, marking one of the highest success rates in the state’s history.

District-wise performance saw Dakshina Kannada district emerge as the top performer with an outstanding 98.40% result, while Kalaburagi district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 85.06%. The results reflect a strong overall performance, with several students achieving extraordinary scores.

In a remarkable feat, seven students across the state secured a perfect 625 out of 625 marks, sharing the top rank. Their achievements have drawn widespread appreciation from educators and the public alike.

Among them, Bharat from Kanavebilachi Kabbala village in Channagiri taluk of Davanagere district stood out with his stellar performance. A student of Sri Vidyalakshmi Convent School, he is the son of building contractor Girish Rao and Shilpa. His success story highlights the growing academic excellence in rural Karnataka.

Soujanya from Nagarabetta village in Muddebihal taluk of Vijayapura district also secured a perfect score. A student of Oxford Patils English Medium High School, her achievement has been widely celebrated by the school administration and teaching staff.

Adding to the list is Preetham G. Poojari from Shankaranarayana in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district, who brought laurels to his school, Mother Teresa Memorial High School.

In another inspiring story, Prarthana Biradar from a government school in Katageri village of Athani taluk in Belagavi district proved that government school students are equally capable of achieving top ranks. Her success has been celebrated by her family and school community.

Other top scorers include Brinda from Chikkamagaluru district, Dhanush from Bengaluru North, and Sukhdev from Raichur district, all of whom secured full marks and brought pride to their respective regions.

The results this year not only underline Karnataka’s academic progress but also highlight the emergence of talent from rural and government school backgrounds, reinforcing the state’s commitment to inclusive and quality education.
