HPCL Opens Applications for 358 Graduate Apprentice Engineering Posts Across India

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited HPCL has announced a new recruitment drive for the 2026 to 2027 academic year, inviting applications for 358 Graduate Apprentice Engineering positions across different parts of the country. The opportunity is open to eligible engineering graduates who wish to begin their professional careers through apprenticeship training in one of India’s leading public sector oil companies.

One of the biggest attractions of this recruitment process is that candidates will not have to appear for a written examination. The selection will be based on academic performance in the qualifying engineering degree, followed by document verification and other recruitment procedures as prescribed by HPCL. This makes the process simpler for applicants who have consistently performed well in their studies.

Candidates selected under the apprenticeship programme will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25000 during the training period. The apprenticeship offers valuable industry exposure and practical experience, making it an excellent opportunity for fresh engineering graduates looking to strengthen their careers in the energy sector.

The available apprentice positions are offered in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. Applicants must have completed a BE or BTech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university or institution to be eligible for these posts.

As per the official eligibility criteria, applicants should be between 18 and 25 years of age as on July 31, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation according to government rules and regulations.

The recruitment covers vacancies in several states across India. Maharashtra has the highest number of openings with 64 posts, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 37 and Gujarat with 32. Tamil Nadu has 20 vacancies, Telangana 19, Delhi 18, Rajasthan 17, Punjab 16 and Andhra Pradesh 15. Karnataka has been allotted 14 apprentice positions under the recruitment drive.

Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit their applications through the online mode before the closing date of July 31. Applicants are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline and ensure that all required documents are uploaded correctly to avoid last minute issues.
