Bengaluru : The Bengaluru Customs Department, operating under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), will conduct an auction of seized goods on December 30.
These items, which were illegally imported into the country, will be made available to the public at much lower prices than their market value. According to information provided by the Customs Department, the auction will feature a range of electronic goods including mobile phones, computers, iPads, and televisions.
The goods, which were seized by the Customs Department due to a lack of proper documentation, will be auctioned off to the public after a period of storage. The original owners can retrieve their seized items by paying fines and penalties within a prescribed period. However, if the items are not claimed, they are sent to Customs warehouses and put up for public auction.
This auction will be conducted through the MSTC (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation) e-commerce portal, where registered individuals can place their bids. A variety of products will be up for grabs, including electronics, vehicles, electrical appliances, furniture, and clothing—all at lower-than-market prices.
The auction will feature a range of seized goods, including mobile phones, laptops, electronics, and other consumer goods. All items will be available at significantly discounted prices, making this a valuable opportunity for buyers. The online platform ensures that the process is transparent, and bids will be accepted in real-time.
Participants can visit the MSTC portal on the auction day to select and bid on the items they want to purchase. The customs department’s online auction system aims to make seized goods available to the public while ensuring proper legal processes are followed.
This auction provides an opportunity to acquire goods at discounted prices while ensuring that seized items are disposed of properly. The Customs Department urges all interested buyers to register and participate in the upcoming auction scheduled for December 30.
