The Commission will conduct a screening test for selection to the main examination through the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) to be held on May 28. As per the official notification, the main exam is expected to be held in November this year. The commission said that 1105 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive.

This is the highest number of posts notified by UPSC in the last seven years. Last year notification was issued for 1011 posts. Last time there were more than 1000 vacancies in 2016. There were 980 posts in 2017, 782 posts in 2018, 896 posts in 2019 and 796 posts in 2020. In 2021, the number of vacancies was 712.

UPSC CSE 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Minimum age requirement is 21 years and maximum age limit is 32 years as on August 1, 2023. Upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category applicants.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Post Graduate Degree in at least one of Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Statistics and Zoology subjects. OR Should have a Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering from any recognized University.

Apply for UPSC CSE 2023:

Step 1: Visit UPSC’s official website upsconline.nic.in

Step 2: Look for and click on the link that reads ‘OTR for UPSC and Online Application Tests’.

Step 3: On the new page, fill the Part 1 registration form, pay the fee and upload all the documents.

Step 4: Then select the exam center and submit the form as instructed.

Step 5: Save and Download the UPSC IFS Form

Step 6: Print can be taken for further basis.
