In this regard, the state government has issued a gazette notification in which applications were invited for 556 Civil Police Sub-Inspector vacancies in the Karnataka Police Department.

The age limit for these posts has been increased from 30 years to 32 years. The order of increase in age limit has been issued with effect from 01-04-2020. These rules are applicable for the recruitment of five hundred and fifty six vacant posts. The posts of Sub Inspector of Police (Civil) (Male and Female) are one time only.

Pass certificate of Secondary School Examination of 10th class pass with Mathematics and English (must be compulsory or optional subject) conducted by any recognized Government of India / State Government / Union Territories is essential.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on system generated merit list. Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks/ranks/marks obtained in 10th class secondary school examination of approved boards converted to aggregate percentage to 4 decimal places.
