As per Karnataka Excise Department Official Notification, Candidates must have passed 10th Class, 12th Class and Graduation from any recognized Boards or Universities.

Salary Details:

For the post of Excise Constable: Rs. 21400 – 42000/-

For the post of Excise Inspector: Rs. 37900 – 70850/-

The Karnataka State Government has submitted a proposal to KPSC to fill up a total of 1100 vacant posts in the Excise Department. Excise Department Minister K. Gopalaiah has given information about this. The government has initiated the strengthening of the Excise Department which will bring more revenue to the state exchequer.

A revenue target of Rs 29000 crore has been given this year and Rs 19897 crore has been collected so far. 17225 crore during the same period last year. K. Gopalaya said If businessmen come forward to manufacture new liquor, we will discuss with the Chief Minister and give approval.

He said that this will increase the employment generation in the state. There are complaints about liquor being sold in small shops in villages. Some students have also brought attention to this matter. The minister said that he will instruct the authorities to take strict action against this.
