Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a heart attack on Friday (October 29) and was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Puneeth is 46 years old. On October 29, Puneeth Rajkumar was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru after he suffered a massive heart attack.
Doctors are treating the actor in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Actor Yash and Dharshan rushed to hospital. His fans took to Twitter to wish him a speedy recovery. Puneeth is fondly called Appu by his fans. He is the son of legendary actor Rajkumar and Parvathamma. He has acted as a hero in over 29 Kannada films.
Soon after the news about Puneeth Rajkumar’s hospitalisation was made public, his fans gathered outside Vikram hospital. Police officials are currently providing security. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai, Kannada actor Yash and several others went to the hospital. A detailed statement from the hospital is expected to arrive soon.
Additional police personnel have been deployed near the hospital and residence of Puneeth Rajkumar as panic-stricken fans have already thronged to know about the health condition of Puneeth Rajkumar. Fans are praying for his speedy recovery.
Puneeth Rajkumar who attended the pre-release event of Bhajarangi-2 was expected to watch the same movie today. Puneeth, who was last seen on the silver screen in the movie Yuvarathnaa, was shooting for the action-packed movie James.
