Fans sprinkle goat’s blood on Rajinikanth’s Annathe poster

A purported act by the fans of actor Rajinikanth, where they sprinkled the blood of a goat on the first look poster of the superstar’s upcoming flick Annathae on Tuesday earned a sharp rebuke from the star’s side, calling it ‘obnoxious.’

VM Sudhakar, the administrator of All India Rajinikanth Rasikar Mandram (Fans Club) and thought of near the highest star, strongly condemned the incident and stated it was “regrettable”. A video going viral on social media purportedly reveals some people who find themselves believed to be Rajinikanth followers, killing a goat and sprinkling its blood on the primary look poster of the movie, with the incident being broadly condemned for its sheer brutality.

In Tamil Nadu, it’s common for followers of high stars like Rajinikanth to pour milk on the cutouts of their favourite heroes, known as ‘palabishakam’, that are carried out in temples for the deity, however such an incident was remarkable.

Referring to the viral video, Sudhakar stated in an announcement that it’s not solely regrettable but additionally extremely condemnable. “We request that no one should indulge in such heinous acts,” he urged.
