Ramadan Month 2024: Directorate of Urdu and Other Minority Language Schools, Bangalore has issued a circular. Information has been given about changing the school timing of Urdu primary and high schools.

Details of the Circular: There is a directive to implement the action plan of activities for the academic year 2023-24 to all government, aided, unaided primary and high schools of the state following the state curriculum. Accordingly, it has been stated that the school period will be fixed from 10 am to 4.20 pm in the advisory schedule for the management of daily educational activities of schools.

In a letter from the Government, to issue a standing order earlier dated 31/10/2002 to conduct junior, senior and high schools of Urdu medium in the state from 8 am to 12.45 pm only for the month of Ramadan. Requests received will be reviewed as per rules and necessary action will be taken.

In this background, considering the petitions submitted to the office in this regard, ordered as follows. In the academic year 2023-24, all government, aided and unaided Urdu medium junior, senior and high schools of the state have been informed that the details of the change in the schedule of the school period from the date of commencement of the month of Ramadan to the date 10/04/2024 only.

From 8 am to 8.40 am

From 8.40 am to 9.20 pm

From 9.20 to 10.00

Break from 10.00 to 10.15

From 10.15 to 10.55

From 10.55 to 11.35

From 11.35 to 12.10

From 12.10 to 12.45

Due to this system, the reduction in the working hours of the schools should be compensated by working on other holidays. Muslim students and staff studying in government, aided and unaided schools in the state may be allowed to leave half an hour earlier every evening during the month of Ramadan if they fast during the month of Ramzan.

To conduct the 5th, 8th and 9th class examination as per the schedule of Summative Assessment (SA-2) conducted by KSQAAC, Karnataka School Examination and Valuation Board scheduled for the year 2023-24.

SSL scheduled for 2023-24The circular clarified that this order will not apply to C examination center and Urdu medium teachers engaged in examination duty.
