The Karnataka government has given good news to those who are expecting the posts of teachers and lecturers, the age limit has been increased for the recruitment of lecturers of government and private aided pre-degree colleges and private aided primary and high school teachers. A report has been received from the Director, Pre-Graduate Education Department, requesting to issue an order to relax the age limit of 2 years for the posts of lecturers in government and private aided pre-degree colleges.

A proposal has been submitted to the government with the view that relaxation of the age limit in recruitment will be reviewed at the government level and an appropriate order may be issued.

The Finance Department has issued a circular dated 10-06-2020 prohibiting any unaided educational institutions and unaided posts in aided institutions to be subsidized due to financial austerity due to severe financial hardship in the state due to the situation of the epidemic disease of Covid-19.

Accordingly, due to the suspension of the recruitment process in the academic lines 2020-21 and 2021-22, in order to allow the candidates who are beyond the age limit to participate in the recruitment process for the posts of Government Primary School / High School / Pre-Graduate College Lecturers.

The Government has decided to implement the relaxation of two years in the maximum age limit for the posts of School Teachers for a period of one year only.
