Karnataka School Summer Holiday: There is a lot of buzz about the delay in class 5th, 8th and 9th exams in the state. Although there is a forecast that the examination will start from Monday, Due to many reasons including exam delay, election, hot weather and election result announcement, Karnataka school summer holiday may extend till June 10 and there is a possibility that school start will be delayed.

Hot weather and water shortage is also happening across the state including Bangalore. Meanwhile, exam fever is also high. The date for SSLC exam has been calculated. In the meantime, the examination issue of class 5th, 8th and 9th has reached this court yard.

At present the High Court has given permission for the examination. The government has also fixed the date for the board exam. Exam dates for Class IX and other classes have been fixed so as not to disturb the SSLC exam. But the effect of all this will be on this summer holidays, the summer vacation would be cut short for the sake of learning.

But this huge summer vacation will continue and it is expected that school will start by June 10. After Covid-19 Pandemic schools starts by May 24. The education department used to organize many programs like school commencement ceremony, school enrolment to prepare children for revision and regular classes. But this year school start is likely to be postponed to the second week of June.

Elections are going on for more than 500 seats in the country at various stages including assembly, by-elections and Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, there is a period of up to 1 month for the counting of votes after the polling. As the counting of votes will take place on June 4, the schools will remain under the control of the Election Commission.

Election process takes place in most of the schools. It is difficult to start schools as schools are converted into strong rooms after elections. Thus, the government is hindered from organizing mass school start programs. For this reason, this year schools may likely to start by June 10. On the other hand, the temperature of the sun has exceeded everywhere in the state including the country.

Thus, children are suffering from health problems. Lack of water is also affecting schools. Weather experts are giving information that this heavy rain will also be delayed. For all these reasons, the state government has thought of extending the summer vacation. But educational experts have expressed concern that this will cause children to stay out of educational activities for a long period of time, which will affect children’s learning and school enrolment.
