According to details shared by Space.com, the upcoming eclipse will last for 4 hours and 39 minutes and end at 3:02 p.m. When the full moon rises on the evening of March 24 in the early morning hours of March 25, it will travel through Earth’s penumbra, or the faint outer part of its shadow. It’s called a penumbral eclipse,” explains an excerpt from a NASA blog.

Photography: If you plan to photograph the eclipse, use a tripod to steady your camera and experiment with exposure settings to capture the event. Consider using a telephoto lens for close-up shots of the moon.

No Eye Protection Needed: Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to view with the naked eye. No need for special eye protection as you are looking at the moon and not the sun.

During a Lunar Eclipse the planet’s most diffuse outer shadow falls on the face of the Moon. According to details shared by space.com, the upcoming eclipse will last for 4 hours and 39 minutes ending at 3:02 pm.

This year the festival of colours is being celebrated on March 25. The festival is dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is believed to have spent a lot of time in an area called Braj in Uttar Pradesh. It not only replicates the spirit of Holi but also emulates the timeless love of Radha and Krishna.
