After change timetable for the academic year 2023-24, schools are start from May 31, and the school education department has made preparations. Preparations are made for the opening of schools on May 29. Preliminary meetings will be held on May 30. Classes will start from Wednesday, May 31. Schools opening days extend for 2 days.

Last March 30, the school education department published the educational schedule, and the commissioner instructed to implement uniform educational guidelines in government, aided and unaided primary and high schools of the state curriculum.

The first academic session of the year 2023-24 will start from May 29 and end on October 7. The second academic session will start from October 25 and end on April 10, 2024. Dussehra vacation (interim vacation) will be from October 8 to October 24, 2023. Next year summer vacation will be given from 11th April to 28th May 2024.

The department has suggested that the school opening ceremony should be organized with great enthusiasm and not treated mechanically, and the teachers, SDMC and parents should especially welcome the school children.

The school should be decorated with various swags to make the school environment attractive. Educational activities should be started for children from second class. Attending children should be encouraged to bring non-attending children to school.

The department has also instructed schools to start Akshara Dasoha with a sweet meal. School enrollment drive will be conducted from 31st May to 3rd June.
