Karnataka School and Colleges closed tomorrow

The Karnataka state government employees will go on strike tomorrow from March 1 to demand the 28th pay revision and the implementation of the 7th pay commission. Karnataka School and Colleges closed tomorrow.

Since the state government has not made any proposal regarding the salary revision of the government employees in the budget presented this time and demanding the cancellation of the new pension policy, the government employees will go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow.

Gram panchayath staff, urban local bodies, permanent civic workers of BBMP, deputy registrar’s office staff have expressed their support for the strike called by the employees union. Staff from village accountants to additional district collectors are absent from duty and most of the services will be affected.

The Karnataka Ministry Employees Union, employees of various corporation boards, forest department employees are participating. Government employees strike will effect to garbage collection staff (Civil workers), closure of schools and colleges, non-availability of outpatient services in government hospitals, suspension of property registration, and closure of Tahsildar office.

Emergency treatment, inpatient care services are available in government hospitals. The employees of the State Road Transport Corporation will go on strike to fulfill their demands. Classes in universities will continue as usual.

Government schools and colleges across the state will be closed tomorrow. School teachers have also joined hands in the strike, schools and colleges will be closed tomorrow. School State President Shambhu Gowda has made a statement about this, saying that school and college teachers will also participate in this strike, and they have asked children not to come to schools tomorrow. He said that if the demand is not fulfilled, he said will not participate in the examination work.

Karnataka State Primary School Teachers Association President Shambulingana Gowda Patila and General Secretary Chandrasekhar Nuggali have given information about this. All teachers should be off duty. They have requested not to participate in school activities. It has called upon teachers to shut down all government schools in the state.
