Breaking: Karnataka Primary Schools to reopen from October 25: Govt released guidelines

Karnataka Primary Schools have received a nod to reopen for offline classes. This reopening shall commence from October 25, 2021. The government has released a notice informing everyone that the Education Department is ready for this reopening. Detailed SOPs released.

Karnataka Primary Schools being reopened means that almost all classes are now functional for offline lectures for students. Even before offline classes had resumed for senior students and some sections of the population were demanding that schools should started for junior classes as well.

Even Karnataka’s Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had mentioned to the reporters some time back that a decision on reopening Primary Schools can be expected soon but only after a meeting with the Expert Committee. The Committee was analysing the entire situation in the state, especially post Dusshera and wanted to make sure that the environment was conducive for these students.

Students and stakeholders are informed that this announcement has been made today. Detailed SOPs released.

From what is known so far, the government has only given a nod to reopen Primary Schools from Thursday. It has not made attendance compulsory yet. Those parents who don’t wish to send their ward to schools and simply continue with online classes, can do so.
