Heavy Rainfall Issued Red Alert: Announced Schools holiday tomorrow

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the occurrence of very heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in the coastal region. As a result, a red alert has been declared from the afternoon of July 4 until 8:30 am on July 5. Heavy Rainfall Issued Red Alert: Important information for School holiday.

Post the noon of July 4, strong winds have been predicted in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi districts for a few hours. In addition, widespread rain is expected to continue in the inland districts of Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, and Chikmagalur for the next two days. Consequently, an orange alert has been issued for those districts.

Red Alert sounded in Kasargod district:

With heavy rainfall continuing on Tuesday to the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in the district on Wednesday, July 5.

As a precautionary measure, state-run, CBSE, ICSC schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadis, and Madrasas in the district will remain closed on Wednesday, July 5, District collector of Kasargod K Impa Shekhar has declared. However, colleges will be functional as usual.
