An instruction has been given to compulsory celebrate the celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti and Valmiki Jayanti. Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh had issued an order to modify the duration of the Dussehra School Holiday in the wake of pressure to grant the mid-year vacation on the occasion of Dussehra in Dakshina kannda. Since the last two years, the Dussehra holiday has been lost due to the fear of Covid-19. But two years later, Nadhabba Dussehra is being celebrated lavishly in the palace city of Mysuru. Earlier Dussehra holiday was given for one month. But in recent years, due to the new orders of officials and people’s representatives, the vacation period has been reduced.
