Lost your Aadhaar card? How to order a reprint if your mobile is not registered with UIDAI

New Delhi: Unique Identity (UID) commonly known as Aadhaar is one of the most important identity documents. The 12-digit Aadhaar number is issued by the Unique Identity Authority of India after proper verification. Nowadays Aadhaar is mandatory for a lot of things and the government has even mandated Aadhaar linking with PAN.

In case you end up losing your Aadhaar card, you can easily recover it online through UIDAI website using the registered mobile number. One can get access to digital as well as physical Aadhaar card. It may be noted registered mobile number or email ID which you provided at the time of enrolment is necessary to retrieve lost UID.

However, if you do not have your mobile number registered and have lost your Aadhaar, there is no need to panic as UIDAI allows people to order a reprint of Aadhaar card online. One can order a reprint of their Aadhaar letter using their current mobile number to receive a one-time password (OTP) and tracking number.

Here’s a step by step guide using which you can order Aadhaar reprint

Step 1: Visit website uidai.gov.in

Step 2: Locate ‘Aadhaar Reprint’ and click on it.

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and other details.

Step 4: Give your current mobile number of verifications.

Step 5: Make payment and get SRN.

Step 6: Aadhaar Letter will be delivered to your address.

Worth mentioning here is that you can use credit card, debit card, net banking and UPI payment modes to make the payment for ‘Order Aadhaar Reprint’ service. One needs to pay a nominal charge of Rs 50 (inclusive of GST and speed post charges) for the Aadhaar card to be delivered to their address.
