Couple gets married in PPE kits after groom tests Covid-19 positive. See video

Bhopal: Testing positive for the deadly coronavirus did not stop a couple from tying the knot in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam city on Monday. According to reports, the groom had tested positive for COVID-19 just before his special day.

However, the infection did not dampen his spirits or forced him to change his plans. The couple and the few guests at the wedding wore PPE kits and followed all COVID protocols during the ceremony.

The wedding took place at its scheduled time, it’s just there were no bands, no large gatherings or sherwanis and lehengas. The groom, his bride and a couple of guests, all wore PPE kits during the ceremony.

The couple and even the priest performed all the rituals in PPE kits. Talking about the wedding, Ratlam Tehsildar Navin Garg said, “The groom tested positive on April 19. We came here to stop the wedding but, on the request, and guidance of senior officials, the wedding was solemnized.”
