Bengaluru: Young woman killed after tree branch falls

Bengaluru An incident occurred in Soladevanahalli, where a young woman lost her life after a large tree branch fell on her. The deceased has been identified as Keerthana (24), a native of Hebbal.

According to police, Keerthana and her friend had gone to private College to watch the Sandalwood Cricket Premier League event on Sunday. While returning after the match, a huge tree branch suddenly fell on two moving bikes.

Keerthana, who was riding one of the bikes, died on the spot due to severe injuries. Her friend and another biker, identified as Bhaskar, sustained serious injuries in the mishap.
Both injured persons have been admitted to Sapthagiri Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case and are investigating whether the branch fall was due to heavy winds, poor tree maintenance, or negligence on the part of local authorities.
