Karnataka: Snake head found at hostel breakfast, over 50 students hospitalized

Yadagiri: Snake head found at hostel breakfast and over 50 students were hospitalised. The incident which took place in Abbey Tumkur Vishwaradya Vidya vardaka hostel in the Yadagiri district. Students are being admitted to the district hospital and given treatment.

Breakfast was served at the hostel. But most of the students have consumed Upma (Uppittu). But the snake’s head found while students Siddappa and Rahul were eating. The students were immediately brought to the attention of the hostel staff.

Soon after the consumption of Upma, the students become ill. More than 50 students were admitted to the Yadagiri District Hospital and given treatment. All students have been subjected to medical check-up and no students have been found to have serious health problems, said Yadagiri Taluk medical officer Dr. Hanumantha Reddy.

The doctors said they would send the students to the hostel without any problems until the evening. Parents rushed to the hospital with news that the students were unwell. parents expressed his outrage against the hostel Trust.
