Accident: Bus collides with lorry, three die on the spot
Accident: Early on Saturday morning in Yellapur, a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in three fatalities and critical injuries to seven other passengers.
The accident occurred near Mavalli Cross on National Highway 63. According to police reports, the bus, which was traveling from Bagalkote to Mangaluru, rammed into the parked lorry from behind. The impact was so severe that the front of the bus was completely mangled.
The deceased have been identified as Nilavva Haradolli (40) and Girijavva Budannavar (30), both from Bagalkote district. The third victim, a man around 45 years old, has not yet been identified. The seven critically injured passengers, including two children aged 7 and 12, have been shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for treatment.

Police have registered a case against the bus driver, Yamanappa Magi, and are investigating the incident. Preliminary reports suggest that the bus driver was either speeding or attempted a reckless overtake, while the lorry was reportedly parked on the roadside without proper indicators.
