SBI Customers Alert: In view of the nationwide three-day bank strike scheduled from September 28 to 30, the State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an important advisory urging customers to complete all essential branch-related work in advance.
Since September 26 (Saturday) and September 27 (Sunday) are weekend holidays, customers may not have access to regular branch services for five consecutive days. SBI has therefore requested customers, including salary and pension account holders, to complete all important banking tasks by September 25.
Complete Branch-Related Work in Advance:
Customers who need to visit SBI branches are advised to plan their banking activities early to avoid inconvenience. Essential services such as:
Cheque deposits
Cash transactions
Submission of documents
Form-related services
Other branch-assisted banking work
may be affected during the strike period.
SBI has advised customers not to wait until the last minute and to finish all pending branch-related work before September 25.
Important Advisory for Salary and Pension Account Holders:
Customers who receive their salary or pension in SBI accounts should closely monitor their upcoming financial requirements. If any account-related work requires a visit to the branch, it is advisable to complete it before the strike begins.
Those who anticipate a need for cash during the five-day period are encouraged to withdraw the required amount in advance. SBI has also recommended using digital payment methods for routine expenses wherever possible.
Digital Banking Services Will Continue as Usual
Although branch services may remain unavailable during the strike, SBI’s digital banking platforms will continue to operate normally. Customers can use:
UPI for instant money transfers and daily payments
Internet Banking for online banking services
Mobile Banking for quick account-related transactions
YONO App for SBI’s complete range of digital banking services
ATMs for cash withdrawals and other available services
Customer Service Points (CSPs) for select banking facilities

With the weekend holidays on September 26 and 27 followed by the proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30, regular branch services are expected to remain unavailable for five consecutive days.
