Aadhaar Link Mandatory Break for Fake Registration:

Aadhaar card is mandatory for land or home registration. This will help prevent fake documents, land fraud and illegal assets. No one can submit a dual record on the property of someone else.

Video record is mandatory for land registration:

Video Recording is mandatory to keep registration transparent and prevent land disputes. This record will be used for authenticity test.

Registration fees, tax, and cancellation rule:

Stamp Duty Rates:

In Karnataka, stamp duty rates are determined by property valuations. The stamp duty rate is 3% for properties valued at INR 45 lakh, 2% for properties valued below INR 20 lakh, and 5% for properties valued at over INR 45 lakh.

Additionally, there is a 1% registration charge. The stamp duty rates for property transactions in Karnataka vary depending on the property’s value. The registration charges, on the other hand, remain fairly consistent across most property types, but there can be exceptions based on location or other factors.

3% for a property worth Rs 21-45 lakh

5% for a property greater than Rs 5 crore

Online Payment: All registration fees and taxes can be paid directly online.

Registration Cancellation Rule: In some states, registration is allowed within 90 days. If there is an objection based on family members or illegal documents, there is an opportunity to cancel registration.
