Bengaluru Power Cut Today in Several Hebbal Areas
Bengaluru Power Cut is scheduled in several parts of the city on September 18 as KPTCL carries out urgent maintenance work, with BESCOM advising residents to plan their daily activities accordingly.

Several parts of northern Bengaluru are expected to experience a power outage today as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited carries out urgent maintenance work.
The Bengaluru Power Cut will mainly affect areas under the Hebbal subdivision of BESCOM. According to the power utility, electricity supply will remain disrupted from 9 am to 6 pm on September 18.
The planned interruption could affect households, businesses, educational institutions and other establishments in the affected localities. Residents who depend on electricity for work or other important activities may need to make arrangements in advance.
The affected areas include several parts of Yelahanka and surrounding neighbourhoods. KMF, Yelahanka New Town 208, Yelahanka New Town 407, B Sector, CB Sandra, Allalasandra, Sharadanagar, Janapriya, Adria, Maruthinagar and Kogilu are among the locations listed by BESCOM.
Parts of BB Road in Yelahanka, Bagalur Cross, Venkatal, Nitte College, BSF, IAF and the area around AstraZeneca are also expected to see interruptions. Residents near PADMS College, Ryan International School and Kattigenahalli have also been included in the affected areas.
The power supply disruption will extend to several residential layouts as well. Palanahalli, Dwarakanagar, Puravankara RMZ Galleria and AMS Layout are among the locations mentioned in the BESCOM announcement.
Other neighbourhoods on the list include Defence Layout, Jelly Machine Circle, Teachers Layout, Raghavendra Layout, HMT Layout, Balaji Layout and Swagath Layout. Residents in these areas have been advised to take note of the maintenance schedule.
The interruption will also cover BEL 6th Block, Narasipura Layout, HMT 3rd Block, HMT 4th Block and HMT Sappoor Block. Escort Layout, Thirumalanagar, Akshayanagar, Aravind Apartments and Kaveri Layout are also expected to experience a temporary loss of electricity.
Several other areas around Hebbal and Yelahanka have been included in the schedule. Dodda Bettahalli, Chikka Bettahalli, Adityanagar, Attur Layout, Santosh Nagar and Muneshwara Layout are among the locations where residents may experience the disruption.
Veeranu Sagaryya Main Road, Dinne Muneshwara Layout, Mahatma Gandhi Layout and MS Palya are also listed. BESCOM has further mentioned Best County 1, Best County 2 and Best County 3, along with Vijayalakshmi Layout, Sainagar 1, Sainagar 2 and Havyakanagar.
The maintenance work is being carried out by KPTCL, and BESCOM has informed consumers about the expected interruption through its public communication channels. Such planned shutdowns are generally carried out to allow maintenance teams to work on electrical infrastructure safely.
The scheduled period runs for several hours, from 9 am until 6 pm. However, the actual restoration of electricity can depend on the progress of the maintenance work and local conditions.
Residents in the affected areas can plan ahead by charging essential electronic devices and completing electricity dependent work before the scheduled shutdown. Shops and offices may also need to account for the interruption during working hours.
People living in and around Hebbal, Yelahanka and the listed surrounding layouts should therefore take note of the power supply schedule. Once the maintenance activity is completed, electricity supply is expected to be restored to the affected areas.
The announcement is particularly relevant for residents who may otherwise be caught off guard by the daytime interruption. Keeping track of the BESCOM schedule can help households and businesses prepare for the temporary disruption.
