iQOO Pad Ultra May Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6

iQOO appears to be preparing a new tablet for the Chinese market, and the iQOO Pad Ultra has reportedly surfaced on a benchmarking platform. The listing has revealed several details about the possible hardware, including a powerful Qualcomm chipset and 16GB of RAM.

The tablet was reportedly spotted on Geekbench with the model number iPA2691. The same model number had previously appeared on China’s SRRC certification platform and is believed to be associated with the upcoming iQOO Pad Ultra.

The biggest detail from the benchmark listing concerns the processor. The device is shown with the chipset model number SM8975, which is reportedly linked to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

According to the reported listing, the processor has an octa core design. Three cores are clocked at 3.74GHz, another three cores operate at 4.03GHz, while two additional cores are listed as high performance cores. These specifications point towards a strong focus on processing performance, although Qualcomm and iQOO have not officially confirmed the chipset details.

Graphics performance could be handled by an Adreno 850 GPU. The tablet is also expected to have up to 16GB of RAM, which would give it plenty of memory for multitasking and demanding applications if the reported configuration is accurate.

The Geekbench listing reportedly records 1,512 points in the single core test and 6,770 points in the multi core test. Benchmark scores can vary depending on software and testing conditions, so they should not be treated as a final indication of retail performance.

Software could be another area where the tablet moves ahead of previous models. The iQOO Pad Ultra is expected to run an operating system based on Android 17, although the company has not yet confirmed the final software version or user interface.

The new tablet may not be the only major device iQOO introduces in China. Reports suggest that the company could also unveil the iQOO 16 smartphone around the same time, creating a broader product launch.

The iQOO 16 is expected to feature a redesigned rear panel with a square shaped camera module. One of the more unusual design elements is described as a robotic arm structure connecting the three camera lenses inside the camera section.

The smartphone could also use a glass rear panel featuring a hexagonal tech pattern. Images reportedly show text referring to a 100x tele lens inside the camera module, suggesting that the phone could support digital zoom of up to 100x.

Photography is expected to be handled by a triple rear camera system. The setup could include a primary camera, an ultrawide camera and a periscope telephoto camera. A metal middle frame is also expected, while the power and volume controls could be positioned on the right side.

The iQOO 16 is also expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Elite series chipset, placing it in the flagship smartphone category. More precise information about the processor, camera sensors and other specifications has not yet been confirmed.

The upcoming devices will follow the iQOO 15, which was launched in India in November last year. The company appears to be continuing its focus on high performance hardware while expanding its product lineup with a tablet that could target users looking for a powerful large screen device.

For now, the iQOO Pad Ultra remains largely based on certification and benchmark information. The reported Snapdragon chipset, 16GB RAM, Adreno 850 GPU and Android 17 support could make it a significant performance focused tablet, but the final specifications will depend on iQOO’s official announcement.
