Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max May Bring 1TB Storage And A Huge Battery

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 13 inch display, up to 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, a large battery and powerful Xring O3 chipset.

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to expand its Pad lineup with a new high end model, and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max could become the most powerful tablet in the upcoming series. The company is expected to introduce the new Pad range at an event planned for early September, where the Xiaomi 18 Fold is also rumored to appear.

A recent leak has offered a closer look at what Xiaomi could be planning for its top model. The Pad 9 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 13 inch display and could be offered in an eye catching red finish. A soft light option is also expected to be part of the display experience.

Storage is likely to be one of the tablet’s biggest highlights. Reports suggest that the retail version could be available with up to 16GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of internal storage. An engineering sample reportedly carries 8GB RAM, but the final retail configurations could offer considerably more memory.

Battery capacity is expected to be another major attraction. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is tipped to feature a battery larger than 10000mAh and could support 120W fast charging. Despite the large battery and premium hardware, the tablet is reportedly expected to weigh around 650 grams.

The tablet could also become one of the more affordable ways to access Xiaomi’s next generation Xring O3 processor. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the new chip could make its debut in the Pad 9 Pro Max.

The Xring O3 is reportedly designed with a deca core CPU featuring six ultra large cores and four large cores. Its maximum clock speed is said to reach 4.35GHz. Early benchmark information has reportedly crossed 15000 points in multi core testing, representing a claimed improvement of around 60 percent over the previous generation chip.

Graphics performance could receive a significant boost as well. The reported configuration includes a 16 core G2 Ultra NX GPU with third generation ray tracing support. If these specifications make it into the final product, the tablet could appeal to users looking for stronger performance for demanding applications and entertainment.

The Pad 9 Pro Max may not be the only tablet arriving in the new series. Earlier reports suggested that Xiaomi could introduce three models, namely the standard Xiaomi Pad 9, Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max.

The standard Pad 9 is expected to feature an 11.2 inch display and 45W charging, while the Pad 9 Pro could come with a 12.5 inch LCD panel and 67W charging. The Pro Max is expected to sit above both models with its larger display, bigger battery and higher memory options.

Xiaomi has been pushing larger batteries across its recent devices as well. The company recently introduced the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Japan with a 10000mAh silicon carbon battery. The company claims that the battery can deliver extended everyday usage and supports 100W wired charging.

The smartphone also supports wired reverse charging at up to 27W, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other devices from the phone. Xiaomi has further claimed that the battery can retain more than 80 percent of its capacity after 1600 charging cycles.

Durability has also become a focus for Xiaomi’s recent devices. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max uses a reinforced structure and carries IP66 and IP68 protection according to the company. Its display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

However, these smartphone details are separate from the leaked Pad 9 Pro Max specifications. Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed the tablet’s final specifications, pricing or launch configuration.

If the reported details are accurate, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max could stand out with its combination of a large display, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, a huge battery and the new Xring O3 processor. More information should emerge closer to the expected September launch event.
