POCO F9 Ultra Price Leaked Before Launch With Bose Tuned Sound

POCO is preparing to expand its premium smartphone portfolio with the upcoming F9 series, which is scheduled to arrive in global markets on September 1. The lineup is expected to include the POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra, with the Ultra positioned as the more premium model.

Ahead of the launch, a reported price leak has created interest around the POCO F9 Ultra. According to details shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version could be priced at PHP 89,999 in the Philippines. That converts to roughly 138000 rupees, although the figure remains unofficial until POCO announces the phone.

If this reported pricing turns out to be accurate, the F9 Ultra would become the most expensive smartphone launched by POCO so far. Since the leaked figure relates to a specific market and configuration, buyers will need to wait for the official announcement for confirmed regional pricing.

One of the more interesting additions to the F9 Ultra is its audio system. POCO has confirmed that the phone will feature sound tuned by Bose. The device is expected to use a 2.1 channel audio setup designed to deliver stronger bass and a more refined sound experience.

The phone is also expected to receive a Bose tuned gaming audio mode. This feature is designed to make important game sounds, including footsteps, easier to identify while playing. POCO is reportedly planning to provide the feature through an OTA update from September 2026, with support limited to selected games.

Gaming performance appears to be another major focus. The F9 Ultra is expected to offer an extremely high instantaneous touch sampling rate of 4800Hz through its Game Turbo mode. Such a specification could make touch responses feel quicker during fast paced gaming sessions.

The design of the Ultra is also expected to stand out. Leaked renders show a flat frame, a centrally positioned punch hole display and a large camera module on the rear. The F9 Ultra is expected to arrive in a Dark Cherry finish with a glass fibre style rear treatment.

The F9 Pro, meanwhile, could take a slightly different approach to its appearance. Reports suggest an Aurora Green version with a full panel luminous design that can absorb surrounding light and produce a soft glow in darker conditions.

Under the hood, the F9 series is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 family. Reports indicate that the F9 Ultra could get the standard version of the chipset, while the F9 Pro may use a binned variant referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series.

Display specifications are expected to differ between the two models. The F9 Pro has been tipped to feature a 6.59 inch QHD Plus plastic OLED panel with a 185Hz refresh rate. The Ultra could offer a larger 6.85 inch display with a reported 2608 by 1200 pixel resolution.

Camera hardware could also receive a substantial upgrade. The F9 Pro is expected to feature a 50 megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization, an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50 megapixel 3x telephoto camera with optical image stabilization.

The F9 Ultra could go further with a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50 megapixel 5x telephoto camera. These specifications suggest that POCO is looking to make the Ultra more than just a gaming focused flagship.

Battery capacity is another area where the Ultra could have a clear advantage. Reports suggest that the F9 Pro may carry a 6330mAh battery, while the F9 Ultra could feature a much larger 8050mAh unit. Both models are expected to support 100W wired charging.

With a high end Snapdragon chipset, Bose tuned audio, a large battery and gaming focused features, the POCO F9 Ultra is shaping up to be an ambitious flagship. However, its reported price and several specifications remain unofficial, so the September 1 launch will be important for confirming what the phone actually offers.
